Well, here we are, but how did we get here? The very first post on this shiny new blog! Cue the confetti, pop the champagne (or sparkling wine if you’re not French), and let’s take a moment to appreciate this milestone. But before we dive into what’s to come, let’s rewind a bit and talk about how we got here.
The “Idea” that sparked it all
Every great journey starts with a single idea—or in my case, a random thought at 2 AM that went something like this: “Hey, I should create a website!” Of course, at the time, I was also debating whether cereal counts as dinner (spoiler: it does), so you could say I was in “peak” creative mode.
But the idea stuck. I wanted a space to share my photography, thoughts, questionable jokes, and other stuff that I do with the world. A place where I could write about things that matter to me, and hopefully to you too.
The “Getting Started” Saga
Building a website with no prior knowledge on how to even get it accessible from the WWW sounds simple enough, right? Wrong. First, there was the question about domain (bought through Namecheap) and hosting (a really good deal through Bluehost) that felt like naming a baby (except this baby lives on the internet forever). Then came the design choices: fonts, colors, layouts… Who knew picking between two shades of black could be so stressful?
Let’s not even talk about figuring out how to actually use WordPress with the million plugins it comes with. Let’s just say there were some “oops” moments that may or may not (it did!) have involved accidentally publishing a blank or broken page. But hey, we learn as we go!
Note that this included a lot of – Why? Why did I start this? How did we get here? Why now? But here we are!
Why does this Website exist?
So why did I go through all this effort? Because I believe everyone has something worth sharing, and this is my little corner of the internet to do just that. Whether it’s pictures, graphic art, random stories, tips, musings, or just things that make me laugh, this website is my way of connecting with you.
What’s Next?
Great question! Honestly… I have no idea. But isn’t that part of the fun? Expect image galleries, sprinkled with places where I’ve been and people I’ve seen and maybe even some deep thoughts (don’t worry, not too deep).
